Brief description:

A racist, threatening message was written on the elevator of a building where the Elected Mufti of Xanthi Mufti, Ahmet Mete, resides. An unidentified person or persons wrote ‘The Good Turk is a Dead Turk’ and threatened in the mirror of the elevator in the apartment where Mufti Mete lives in Xanthi.

Mufti Ahmet Mete published a Tweet from his own social media account and wrote that it was sad that while the world was dealing with pandemics and deaths, a person, signed as X.A., was occupied with writing hate messages. The Mufti, however, pointed out that a positive aspect is that the Turkishness of the minority was still recognised by the author of the slogan, but indicated that the talks that the minority is comfortable because there is equality are to be considered again.

While the authorities did not react to the situation, the residents addressed the police, and they took care of the case.
