Brief description:

A citizen was mistreated by the local police for denouncing that she had been denied the right to be served in Catalan in a shop.

As a result from her complaint, the lady received two fines for "disobedience to the authority" and "obstruction of public services", after a police officer spoke to her in Spanish, mistreated her and destroyed evidence.

Plataforma per la Llengua supported the victim and addressed the City Council, asking that the fines be revoked. Nevertheless, the Council maintained the sanctions and destroyed the security images of the police station.
